Colville Tribes weigh lawsuit over cleanup
Tuesday, October 7, 2003

The Colville Confederated Tribes of Washington are considering a lawsuit to force cleanup of Lake Roosevelt on the Columbia River.

The tribes say they may sue the Environmental Protection Agency in order to put the site on the Superfund list. Tribal leaders are worried that contamination from Teck Cominco, a mining company, has damaged the environment.
