Tribes meet with Border Patrol on homeland security

The U.S. Bureau of Customs and Border Protection is wrapping up a two-day conference with Indian Country law enforcement officials.

The bureau includes the Border Patrol. Several tribes have lands on or near the Canadian and Mexican borders.

The conference drew 21 tribes and representatives of the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
