Mohegan Tribe to pay for regional water project

The Mohegan Tribe will fund a $9.8 million pipeline designed to supply water to communities in southeastern Connecticut. The tribe and local officials announced the project yesterday. The deal will allow the tribe to access more water for its casino. The tribe's contribution will likely be reimbursed by a $7 million federal grant in the process of Congressional approval.
