Non-Indians oppose school's use of Iroquois flag
Friday, October 31, 2003

Some non-Indian parents don't want a school in New York to fly the flag of the Iroquois Confederacy.

The LaFayette Junior-Senior High School flies the flag to promote racial sensitivity and cultural diversity. Members of the Onondaga Nation attend the school.

A parent has collected more than 100 signatures to oppose the flag. The school superintendent said the critics are in the minority.
