The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut will hold an election for the tribal council on Sunday.

Chairman Michael J. Thomas is looking to keep his seat and position as chairman. Two other incumbents are seeking re-election, and eight candidates are vying for the slots.

The chairman position is chosen separately. Some want vice-chairman Richard A. �Skip� Hayward to challenge Thomas.
