Thursday, November 6, 2003

The Crow Tribe is breaking ground on Friday on a park to honor Crow veterans.

The park will feature a life-size sculpture of a mounted Crow warrior, created artist Kennard Real Bird. War shields containing the names of all Crow veterans will surround the sculpture.

According to the tribe, 3,000 tribal members have served in the U.S. armed forces since 1851.
