The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut says it will demolish a former Masonic Temple that sits atop a tribal burial ground.

The tribe bought the 1928 structure for $1.1 million to stop the city of Norwich from digging utility trenches in the burial ground. Tribal leaders considered preserving the building, but say that would be costly.
