The Yakama Nation of Washington won't try to assert total jurisdiction over non-Indian farmers on the reservation.

The tribe was proposing to regulate all pesticide use. But in response to non-Indian opposition, the tribe will limit its authority to tribal lands and lands leased directly from the tribe.
