Richard Milanovich, chairman of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians of California, was named "Man of the Year" by the Stroke Recovery Center of Palm Springs.

Milanovich has brought his tribe into financial prominence in the past 20 years as chairman. In accepting the award, he said the real honor should go to the tribe.
