Navajo Nation Washington Office survives panel vote

A Navajo Nation council committee on Monday voted down a plan to remove the tribe's Washington office from President Joe Shirley Jr. A council delegate spearheaded the removal, citing concerns over the management style of Sharon Clahchischilliage, a Republican whom Shirley appointed to run the office. But there weren't enough votes to clear the resolution. Four ex-employees say they were ousted based on Clahchischilliage's Republican politics. Clahchischilliage says the matter is strictly personnel-related. Get the Story:
