Supreme Court accepts Cheney task force dispute
Tuesday, December 16, 2003

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday agreed to hear the dispute over Vice President Dick Cheney's energy task force.

Two public interest groups won a court order requiring the White House to turn over records pertaining to the task force but the White House refuses to turn over the information.

Cheney met with leaders of the energy industry in developing the task force report. No tribes were consulted directly by the White House but some tribal groups met with Department of Energy representatives.
