MONDAY, MAY 13, 2002 The Narragansett Tribe of Rhode Island is thanking a Connecticut town for allowing tribal members to watch over a construction project. John Brown, the tribe's historic preservation officer, said the town of Westerly is being gracious for allowing observation even though it is not required by state law. He had asked for a survey but admitted he was mistaken about a federal law. Get the Story:
