WEDNESDAY, MAY 22, 2002 A paper company held a ceremony on Tuesday to return a sacred island to the Passamaquoddy Tribe of Maine. Gordon's Island is on Big Lake and is home to graves of tribal ancestors who died during a smallpox epidemic 150 years ago. Domtar Industries purchased the 26-acre island last year from another paper company. Get the Story:
