Minn. banks accused of discrimination

THURSDAY, MAY 30, 2002 A member of the White Earth Band of Ojibwe has accused a Minnesota creditors of discrimination against American Indians. Jay Goodwin says he was forced by a bank and a financier to waive sovereign immunity and could not do business with tribes. He agreed to the provisions but then claims his line of credit was cut off.
