TUESDAY, JUNE 4, 2002

The White House on Monday allowed a Senate committee to view documents collected in response to an ongoing investigation into the Bush administration's contacts with failed energy company Enron.

The information was made available in response to subpoena by Sen. Joe Lieberman (D-Conn.), chairman of the Senate Governmental Affairs Committee. The committee wasn't allowed copies of the documents, though.

The White House said a protocol has to be developed before any data can be handed over. Lieberman wants the information by noon today.
