FRIDAY, JUNE 7, 2002 A member of the Passamaquoddy Tribe of Maine has received a National Heritage Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. Clara Neptune Keezer, 71, was recognized for her basket-making work. She has been weaving for her entire life and works to preserve her tribe's tradition. Keezer was one of 14 people nationwide chosen. She will receive a $10,000 award. Get the Story:
