Windtalkers, the MGM movie about the Marines assigned to protect the Navajo Code Talkers, officially opens nationwide on Friday.

Navajo viewers will be able to catch the movie on Thursday in Kayenta, Arizona, and Gallup, New Mexico. No word on whether any of the stars, including Nicholas Cage and Adam Beach, will show up.

Navajo and Comanche Code Talkers were honored at the Sovereignty Symposium taking place in Oklahoma this week. The last living Comanche Code Talker, Charles Chibitty, will speak today at the convention, which takes place in Oklahoma City.
