Kan. panel recommends end to mascots

The Kansas State Board of Education was urged on Tuesday to eliminate Indian mascots from all public schools.

An advisory panel recommended the state get rid of Indian themes and logos. A total of 134 schools would be affected if the board adopts the suggestion.
