"It is horrific to know that the Department of the Interior can do outrageous things with such impunity. And Congress passed legislation easily (circumventing Bureau of Acknowledgement and Recognition mandatory criteria for federal recognition), without questions or study. The amazing thing is that most of these lawyers, federal bureaucrats, and elected officials continue on in their jobs without a hitch, while people like BIA Deputy Wayne Smith are vilified and fired when they attempt to do what is right. . ."
