Lawmakers from Virginia are up in arms about a proposal to put an image of an American Indian on the reverse side of the nickel, John McCaslin reports in "Inside the Beltway."

According to McCaslin, the U.S. Mint planned to finalize the change this week. But Virginia's Congressional delegation is upset they were not notified, he reported.

Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) is quoted as saying he was "offended" that the current image of Thomas Jefferson's home in Virginia would be replaced by American Indian and an eagle looking to the West. He has introduced a bill to keep the current image.
