A $50,000 project backed by the National Historic Preservation Fund is helping the Nez Perce Tribe of Idaho preserve a cultural tradition.

Two tribal members are working with elder Elmer Crow to document knowledge of the horn bow. Bows were traditionally used to hunt buffalo and were a prized item among tribes.
