FRIDAY, JUNE 28, 2002 A divided Supreme Court on Thursday upheld the use of public money to send children to religious and private schools. In a 5-4 ruling, the Court upheld a voucher program in Cleveland, Ohio. Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist wrote the opinion and was joined by Justices Sandra Day O'Connor, Antonin Scalia, Anthony M. Kennedy and Clarence Thomas. Justices John Paul Stevens, David H. Souter, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Stephen G. Breyer signed dissenting opinions. Get the Story:

FRIDAY, JUNE 28, 2002 In a 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court yesterday upheld random drug testing for students who participate in certain extracurricular programs. Writing for the majority, Justice Clarence Thomas said the Oklahoma practice didn't intrude on student privacy. He was Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist and Justices Antonin Scalia, Anthony M.
