The House on Tuesday stripped the Department of Interior's spending bill of provisions affecting the $7.8 Everglades restoration plan.

One provision would have given what proponents called an equal voice to the Interior in the project. The other would have affected the property rights of homeowners and possibly the Miccosukee Tribe.

The House Interior Appropriations subcommittee had approved the provisions. But the chairmen of the House Resources Committee and the House Transportation Committee objected.

The House adjourned without voting on the full $19.7 billion spending bill.
