A Connecticut group called Friends of the Golden Hill Paugussetts held a meeting on Tuesday.

The group supports the Golden Hill Paugussett Tribe's bid for federal recognition and plans for a casino in Bridgeport.

The tribe is awaiting an answer on its federal status. It has been rejected three times so far but a Clinton administration official ordered a reconsideration.
