Editorial: Stop using Crazy Horse name

TUESDAY, JULY 23, 2002

The Sioux Falls Argus Leader in an editorial today calls on companies to stop using Lakota leader Crazy Horse's name.

"The wishes of Crazy Horse and his family should take precedence over a product name," the paper writes. "Do the right thing. Change the names."

The paper cites the willingness of some companies to adhere to the descendants family's wishes. But others, like clothier Liz Claiborne, are resisting.
