THURSDAY, JULY 25, 2002 Fires in interior Alaska are close to the Native village of Venetie. The tribe's chief said residents weren't worried, though, because of the rain accompanying three lightning-caused blazes. None of the fires has grown larger than 10 acres, The Anchorage Daily News reports. Get the Story:
