Fires come close to Native village

Fires in interior Alaska are close to the Native village of Venetie.

The tribe's chief said residents weren't worried, though, because of the rain accompanying three lightning-caused blazes. None of the fires has grown larger than 10 acres, The Anchorage Daily News reports.
