Conn. cops fight Pequot tribal ruling

WEDNESDAY, JULY 31, 2002 Two police detectives in Connecticut are appealing a ruling that dismissed their lawsuit against the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. The men accuse the tribe of libel and other charges after they were removed from duty at the tribe's casino. But their case was dismissed two weeks ago. The detectives are appealing within the tribal court system but also want to transfer the case to other venues. Get the Story:
