Mohegan Tribe votes to keep members

MONDAY, AUGUST 12, 2002 The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut has voted to keep an estimated 500 members on its tribal rolls. The members were allowed into the tribe by the Mohegan Council of Elders. Some, including the tribal council, thought the decision was unfair. But 60 percent of tribal members voted otherwise in a mail-in ballot that was counted on Saturday. Get the Story:
