The Quapaw Tribe of Oklahoma is protesting the removal of a project manager at one of the worst toxic waste sites in the country.

Citing "reorganization" or the agency, the Environmental Protection Agency is removing Rafael Casanova from his position. Quapaw chairman John Berrey said the loss will impact clean up at Tar Creek, where millions of tons of mine waste remain on land owned by tribal members.

The EPA is also cutting funds to the site.
