Conn. Native women paid less than men

TUESDAY, AUGUST 20, 2002 Native American women in Connecticut are paid less than their male counterparts, according to Census Bureau figures. In the town of Montville, which is located near the Mohegan Reservation, American Indian and Alaska Native men reported earning twice as much as Native women. In Ledyard, located near two Pequot reservations, Native men reported an income of $77,368, compared to $37,125 for women. Get the Story:
