Three environmental organizations sued the Bush administration on Tuesday to halt limestone mining in the Florida Everglades.

The groups said the plan would destroy 15,000 acres of wetlands and harm rare species. They accuse the Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, an agency of the Department of Interior, of violating various environmental laws.
