A member of the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut believes he is close to collecting enough signatures for a petition to oust two tribal officials.

Grant Fox needs to collect 370 signatures, or 40 percent of the voting members, to get the issue on an upcoming referendum. He told The Norwich Bulletin he has nearly 300 names.

The petition seeks to impeach Roland J. Harris and Jayne Fawcett, who sit on the tribal council.
