Editorial: Oral history not good enough

A California bill that would protect sacred sites is "ripe for abuse," The Wall Street Journal says in an editorial.

The paper says the legislation, introduced by California Senate President John Burton, would halt the building of power plants and roads based on flimsy "oral history" claims of tribes. "But it's a liberal double play: Anti-development and pro-racial identity, the paper writes.

The paper blames the bill and other developments in California on liberals and Democrats.
