A team of researchers from the University of New Mexico and other institutions is spending a year among the Chimane Tribe of northeastern Bolivia.

The group's goal is to learn more about health care in rural Chimane communities. The team includes doctors and anthropologists.

The Chimane live in the rain forest where health care is almost unheard of. Common problems include infected insect bites, eye and ear infections, and poor dental health.
