A North Carolina state judge heard testimony on Tuesday in the case of a Lumbee woman who wants to compete in the Miss America pageant.

Rebekah Revels won the state beauty title, earning the right to advance to the national competition. But state pageant officials revoked the crown after a former boyfriend said he had photos of her topless.

A state judge has temporarily reinstated Revels as Miss North Carolina and has prohibited distribution of any photos.
