Wyo. tribes work on water issues

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2002 The tribes on the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming are working with local irrigation districts on water issues. The Eastern Shoshone Tribe, the Northern Arapaho Tribe and two districts have agreed to support three water projects. The projects are: development of upstream water storage, rehabilitation of the Bureau of Indian Affairs' Irrigation Project, and renewal of a headgate lease. Get the Story:
