MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2002 The Sioux Falls Argus Leader of South Dakota is running a feature series on Native American athletes. Today's story focuses on tribal colleges and how they can help Native students succeed by keeping cultural ties alive. Haskell Indian Nations University in Kansas and Huron University in South Dakota, which is owned by the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, are considered the top draws.
