Navajo vendor center underway in Utah

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2002 The Navajo Nation and the states of Utah and Arizona are building a vendor center for Navajo artisans. The center is located near the Monument Valley Tribal Park in southeastern Utah. Currently, the vendors are using makeshift stalls to sell their wares. Money for the $3.8 million project, which includes a visitor center and amphitheater, will come from various sources including the trust fund for Navajos in Utah. Get the Story:
