FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2002 Ron Volesky, a member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and a Democratic candidate for South Dakota attorney general, opposes the death penalty. Volesky is a Democrat and a state legislator. His opponent, assistant attorney general Larry Long supports capital punishment. Get the Story:
