A private-public partnership in Montana will receive a three-year grant from the Department of Education for a project aimed at lowering the high drop out rate of Indian students.

The grant will provide $328,461 every year to six schools, the state and the Montana Wyoming Indian Education Association. The schools are located on reservations, where the drop out rate is more than twice the state average.
