WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 2002

Supporters of expanded gaming in Nebraska filed a federal lawsuit on Monday to get their voter initiative back on the November ballot.

A state court removed the proposal after he said it covered too many issues. The initiative legalizes video slot machines at bars, restaurants, race tracks and keno parlors.

If passed, tribes would be allowed to operate the same games. Currently, only bingo and bingo-like games are allowed.
