The Department of Interior has affirmed a decision to take five acres of land into trust for the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska.

The land is located in Iowa. Local officials challenged the trust status for fear the land will be used for gaming.

The tribe, which was terminated and regained status in 1990, doesn't have plans for a casino, said an attorney.
