Oklahoma state regulators and the oil and gas industry have concerns about a bill to reform land transactions affecting the Five Civilized Nations.

The groups met with tribal leaders and Congressional staff to consider a land reform bill that seemed ready to clear Congress until Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) put a hold on it. He said he wants the concerns of the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, a state agency, and the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association addressed.
