Republicans raise $103M for campaigns

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2002

The Republican Party has raised more than $100 million in soft and hard money campaign contributions.

The Republican National Committee raised $71 million in hard donations. The Democratic National Committee raised just $25 million.

On soft money, Democrats raised $37 million, compared to the GOP's $32 million. These type of donations are being banned as of November 5.
