Choctaw employees cite pressure to donate

MONDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2002 A spokesperson for the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma denies allegations that tribal employees were pressured to make campaign contributions. Several employees told The Tulsa World they were told to donate to Rep. Brad Carson (D-Okla.) and Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.). They said their jobs were at risk if they didn't contribute. Employees also allege they were paid to put up campaign signs for Carson, the paper reported. Get the Story:
