Tribes diversify their economies

It used to be that the only business on reservations was the Bureau of Indian Affairs. And sometimes the Indian Health Service.

But thanks to the success of Indian gaming, tribes across the country are expanding their reservation economies beyond casinos and even beyond their borders. Malls, concert halls and telecommunications are some of the examples cited by The Christian Science Monitor.
