The number of fish killed in the Klamath River in northern California has been raised to 33,000.

State biologists are presenting their estimate today, according to The Santa Rosa Press Democrat. The deaths are tied to the lack of water in the river.

The Yurok Tribe has sued to restore more water and protect the fish.
