Obituary: LeBeau former BIA employee

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2002 Elsie Swiftbird Garreau LeBeau, a former Bureau of Indian Affairs employee, died in South Dakota from pulmonary complications. She was 63. Swiftbird, a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, worked for the BIA on trust and policy matters. She recently worked for the Colorado-based Council of Energy Resource Tribes. Get the Story:
