Telescope project moves forward

Two schools have bought time at a telescope observatory built on an Arizona mountain considered sacred.

The University of Minnesota and the University of Virginia joined the University of Arizona in the project. The telescope also has international and local sponsors.

Apache tribes in the state have spoken against the observatory.
