Judge dismisses Native inmate suit

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2002 A federal judge in New Hampshire dismissed a discrimination lawsuit filed by Native American inmates, the AP reports. U.S. District Judge Steven McAuliffe said state prison inmates William Sunn and Justin Barnaby failed to exhaust their administrative remedies. The men, who claim to be members of the Native American Circle, said they have been denied tobacco, a buffalo skull, a pipe, a sweat lodge and other items. Get the Story:
